Psalm 103:13, 14, 17 Like as a father pitieth His children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame: He remembereth that we are dust. . .But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him

Like as a father pitieth His children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame: He remembereth that we are dust. . .But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him. — Psalm 103:13, 14, 17

Prayer: "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him" Psalm 103:13

DEAR Father, Thou hast given us the great gift of a new day. May it be unto us a Father's house of love where we shall serve, not as slaves, but as freemen; not as strangers, but as friends; not as aliens, but as sons and heirs.
As children come to their mothers when wearied, or conscience-smitten, or grieved by their fellows, so may we come to Thee in any hour of need. As the confidence and love of our parents gives us strength for duty, much more may the knowledge of Thy confidence and Thy love enable us to bear each burden and trample each temptation under foot.
And may we have such intimate companionship this day with Thy Son, our Savior, that truth and cleanness and gentleness and hope shall abide in us until the twilight falls, and we lie down to sleep again beneath the shadow of Thy wings. Amen.
